Titanic Denim RESCUED – Cushions

Transform Your Preloved Jeans with Marie Nancarrow! Join Titanic Denim founder and Rescued Project creator at Spinning Yarns in Newtownabbey for a hands-on sustainable denim workshop. Bring your own jeans along (if you wish!) and learn how to turn them into tote bags, cushions & accessories—giving them a brand-new life and keeping denim out of landfill. (jeans also provided)
At Spinning Yarns, Marie will be leading Sustainable Denim Workshops—hands-on sessions where participants can learn how to give preloved jeans a new lease of life. From tote bags to cushions and unique accessories, these workshops demonstrate practical, creative ways to keep textiles in use and out of landfill, inspiring everyone to see fashion waste as a resource rather than rubbish.
Meet Marie Nancarrow – Titanic Denim Studio Host Marie Nancarrow is the founder and designer behind Titanic Denim, a Belfast-based sustainable fashion brand that transforms discarded denim into high-end, handcrafted products. She is also the creator of The Rescued Project, an initiative that partners with businesses across Northern Ireland to repurpose textile waste—such as old uniforms and unused fabrics—into corporate merchandise and reusable items. This work not only reduces landfill waste but also helps companies showcase their commitment to sustainability.
Marie’s vision for Titanic Denim and The Rescued Project reflects her determination to tackle the environmental impact of fast fashion, particularly the huge volumes of clothing sent to landfill each year. Alongside her design career, she has worked in wardrobe and styling for global performers including Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, and Sting.
