Join our tutor Colin for a hands-on journey into the world of watercolour painting.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your skills, this course offers a supportive environment to experiment, explore, and grow as an artist.
You’ll discover the unique qualities of watercolour through a variety of techniques, learning how to use different surfaces, brushes, and tools to create expressive and beautiful works.
What You’ll Paint:
· Landscapes
· Seascapes
· Architectural scenes
· Still life compositions
Each week will focus on a different subject or technique, allowing you to build confidence and discover your own style with this versatile medium. Please bring your own supplies.
You will need:
· Watercolour paints (student or artist quality)
· Watercolour paper (preferably 300gsm, cold press or rough)
· Drawing pencils (HB, 2B)
· Eraser
· Sharpener
· Watercolour brushes (a selection of round and flat sizes)
· Mixing palette
· Masking tape or board for stretching paper
· Soft cloth or tissues
· Optional: masking fluid, sponge, spray bottle
Materials can be found at art supply shops or online retailers such as Jackson’s, Cass Art, Hobbycraft, or Amazon. Find inspiration. Gain confidence. Explore your creativity.
