Anthony Toner in Concert

Acclaimed songwriter and guitarist Anthony Toner makes a welcome return to the Old Courthouse Arts Centre on Saturday November 7 for another evening of heart-filled songs, stories from the road and peerless fingerstyle guitar playing.
In addition to celebrating a joyous back catalogue filled with well-loved songs like ‘Sailortown’, ‘The Road to Fivemiletown’, ‘Cousins at Funerals’ and many more, Anthony will be celebrating an exciting new addition to his catalogue in 2026 – a book-length collection of his finest lyrics, published with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
This collection includes Anthony’s personal selection from a quarter of a decade of songs, dating from 2021 and the writing that led to his debut album eventually, which included ‘Cousins at Funerals’, right up to the latest collection, 2025’s Long Long Way.
Expect all the usual hallmarks of an Anthony Toner shows - an intimate evening of acoustic music, superb fingerstyle guitar playing, stories from the road, some well-chosen cover versions, a few readings from the new collection and some poems from some of Anthony’s favourite poets.

Audience member, The Green Note in Camden: ‘A dazzling and moving evening… like watching a series of beautiful short films’.
Folk & Tumble, online review of Long Long Way: ‘The album is filled with little gems… there’s so much to admire here… a wonderful piece of work. So many layers to the writing, that reveals more and more on each listen - file under poetic excellence!’
